This sculpture/luminaire is part of the Breaking Point series. It is one of if not my very favorite piece I've made; fluid yet earthy, full of movement and grace. It was fired in cone 10 reduction, giving the clay a warm golden sheen and the glazes an opalescent variety of blues, purples and greens, there are also touches of a volcanic, sea-foam like glaze. The Lake Superior clay base elevates it and compliments it with the look of stones carved by water (optional). About 14" tall x 18" wide with the base.
